"Something Old"?

I'm doing the tradition "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue "
For the "something old" I wanted to wear a necklace my fiancee got me at the beginning of our relationship. We are getting married on our 10 year anniversary so the necklace is eight years old. I would thing it would work since it represents our past together. What do you guys think?
