Jewelry is a common item to borrow, and usually super easy to find! Other things that people often use as their something borrowed include veils, shoes, hair pieces, makeup, and bouquet charms.

Yes, I'm familiar with something old, new, borrowed, blue but OMG! Is the bride supposed to ask to borrow something?!! I imagined it as someone offers me something to borrow, the day of. Which now that I am thinking about that... that doesn't make any sense.

I borrowed one of my best friend's veil. She offered it to me shortly before I went dress shopping so I wouldn't buy one on my own.

I had an "all in one" item LOLOL It was a charm from way back when that had my mom & dad's picture in it. It was the "old", I borrowed it from my sister and we put a blue ribbon on it so it could go in my 'new' bouquet. Smiley laugh

I was thinking of one of my family members buying something blue at a thrift store and me borrowing it so it can be "old" "new" "borrowed" and "blue" at the same time!

I love items that get passed `through multiple weddings! I'm wearing my mom's veil, which 3 of her sisters (my aunts) also wore! All of them are still married (some of them 40+ years), so hopefully some of that good luck gets passed down with the veil!

This is fantastic Cece! The veil seems to be the borrowed in most of the comments. Do you have a picture?

🤣 I’m borrowing nail polish from
The nail salon. I decided to wear a pretty country blue polish for our wedding.

I have a photo of it being worn in the 70s! My mom is the last of 13 children! So the veil was worn from the late 70s to the early 90s!

It was suuuuuper yellowed when I got it, so I whitened it. I’ll be taking it off the headband also, and putting it on a comb. Something Borrowed 3

That's smart! Then you have all of them together and don't forget to bring one!

The seamstress that made my dress and is putting the veil on the comb for me suggested I do it myself because it's so easy! I just ordered the product she uses (Retro Clean), and it whitened in about an hour!
