Something Blue

Having a beach themed wedding, so I am looking on Etsy for blue sea-glass earrings.

You could do blue shoes, blue jewelry (maybe something with sapphires?), blue flowers in your bouquet, a blue garter (if you're planning on wearing one), or a blue ribbon/belt on your dress?

A blue ring my grandmother left me

For my 16th birthday my grandmother decided she wanted me to have her original engagement ring (the main diamond had fallen out years earlier never replaced) She had it reset with a blue sapphire (my birthstone) for me. She ended up passing away days before my 16th birthday, I will be using this ring as my something blue. . One of my friends painted her toe nails blue and had her and her partners initials on the bottom of her shoes in blue, made for a cute photo!

I couldn't have had more something blues if I tried! My husband's and my eyes are both blue. Navy blue was one of our wedding colors (the other was golden yellow), so we had it in just about everything: the bridesmaid dresses, the napkins, icing on our wedding cake, the menus, the ink on the programs...

My something blue was a handkerchief my grandmother and auntie in law had embroidered with our initials and the date. I wasn't sure it would be done in time so I also had a tiny piece of ribbon with blue bunny rabbits printed on it sewn into my dress too!

It ended up being useful as my now-husband made everyone cry during his vows, haha!

other things you could have might be - blue underwear, a piece of blue fabric from a relative sewn into your dress, blue flowers in your bouquet, or (if your dress has pockets like mine!) a blue hand mirror or lipstick case!

My garter was blue

My birthday was last week and my mom bought me a bracelet from Pandora with a little blue stone in the center. I love it and can’t wait to wear it!

I got dusty blue shoes from Dillards! I won't be wearing them the whole time, but FH's suit is blue and I've decided that if he doesn't count as my something blue then I don't need it 😅

My shoes are royal blue and possibly a rhinestone bracelet that belonged to my grandmother.

I have a pair of earrings with a little blue rose on them.

So my mom had given me a pair of sapphire earrings last year for my birthday that she said could be my something blue for the wedding. They also happen to be my birthstone, so that works out lol. And my engagement and wedding rings both have sapphires in them. So I think I’m covered 😊

My something Blue are fake flowers from my grandfathers funeral. I asked him to walk me down the isle after I got engaged in October. He passed on new years eve. So you could make it something sentimental or you could do ear rings, maybe even blue shoes, or a hair piece that has some blue in it.
