Soldering Rings Together?

Our jeweler said once we get married, they'd solder my engagement ring and band together for free. Is this something anyone else has thought about, heard of, or done? I mean I like the idea of one ring so you don't have to worry about losing one, I just don't know how it would look?

I won’t do this because I like to be able to wear my wedding band alone sometimes (travel etc), but I have contemplated it some because my band has a nook my e-ring sits in but it’s not super secure in, so they’re mis-aligned often.

It’s really just personal preference. I have a three piece set.... We get married in two days and I got them soldered together. Just picked them up Monday actually. I have two soldered together for convenient factor. I didn’t want to deal with three rings every day. And I kept one band separate that is just a plain band to wear for physical activity, etc.

its really just whatever you want. I know women who don’t have them together too.

Mine is like this as well. Even has a little tab that fits into a divot on my main ring. Actually looking again, we have very similar rings. Smiley smile Love it! My rose gold follows the diamond sides rather than standing alone.

I’m not doing it personally for insurance reasons & to have the option to only wear the band if I want. My set was a pretty nice investment for my FH. It’s definitely a personal choice.

Mine are being side red together before the wedding so I don’t have to take them off again
