Fast forward today. I tried it on over the weekend. Needs a few adjustments but over all.good fit.
I dont love it much anymore, i thought once i had it on i woulr love it again... but i dont. I think its ok but mostly i feel like a fat sausage in it is the best description. Im gonna wear it i have no time or other options. How or what can i do if anything to not feel this way. I feel very self conscious in it. Like people will look at me and think why would you chose that of all dresses. cfb_1459727.jpg

The dress is gorgeous and you look gorgeous in it. But I understand if you don't love it & that's okay. Whether its getting a new dress or adding alterations for this one, I hope you get that special feeling back.

You need some breast support and a belt and I think you would feel a lot different. The dress is beautiful and your body looks good in it. Just need to define that waist. But if you really don't like it and can afford to... Get another dress. You deserve to feel your absolute best on that day

I wrote this super longwinded post to you about how I think your dress is amazing but tried to post without being logged in! q.q I just wanted to say you look stunning.

My vote in alterations would be off the shoulder strap sleeves. (I like having my shoulders broken up when I feel sausage-y in a body con)

That being said ma'am you look amazeballs in that dress. As a mermaid horsehair hater I have to say that is gosh darn beautiful.

Also play around with finishes for sure even belts you never know what may bring the thing that sparks joy back to you.

THAT being said if you can't redeem this dress in your eyes try reselling it?

Do you know what type of dress you'd replace it with?

I think asking some gal pals in person could help.

The emotional connection you have with a piece of clothes is real important and so is your mood when going into trying something on. I know if I am feeling any type of negative way I will be more willing to pass up my slightly fussy dresses zipper for a pair of shorts any day.

Also not to discredit your lovely SO but have you ever asked him to put an outfit together?

I've done that with mine (yikes) sometimes they just don't see clothes for what they are and could be.

Ok last bit, Sometimes an outfit won't be beautiful to them till they see you in it. Part of it is the wow factor that is seeing someone they love in whatever it is.

I think it is a beautiful dress, but as someone who was not 100% happy with their choice (it was a gorgeous dress but I felt self conscious) I would say 3 things. 1.) once you have hair & makeup, and all of your accessories you will feel very different. 2.) If there is still time shop sample sales, they are deeply discounted and you can take it home that day. 3.) if this is the dress you wear and you are worried about what your fiancé thinks...don't. He's not even going to remember what he said about that dress when he sees you walking down the aisle.
