So i went dress shopping at David's Bridal today...

And it went much better than I had ever expected!!! I've heard so many mixed reviews for DB and I wasn't really excited about going dress shopping, but it was honestly such a good time. Since FMIL passed in July it's been a hard time planning and things since he has to sell the house and go through her estate, which in turn made me not want to go. When I went my sales woman was super friendly!! I told her that I'm going in with an open mind and that I'm willing to try on anything as long as it wasn't a ball gown, mermaid, or strapless. We showed her some photos and she let us pull our own gowns, as well as her grabbing a few wild cards for me! Overall it was just a really good time and I actually enjoyed it and made me get more giddy for the wedding!!

I just wanted to let other girls who don't want to go shopping or are skeptical of DB that I had an amazing time. I didn't say yes to the dress because I want to shop a little more before agreeing, but it is possible I might get my dress there. I'll post photos in the comments of my two contenders!!

I went to DB for my wedding dress and I had the best experience too. I also had heard mixed reviews about it but I guess it just depends on the location you go to. I scheduled my appointment during the week when they were less busy. Like, there was literally no one else in the shop except me and my wedding party. The young lady who helped me was very nice and attentive. She listened to my wants and helped me try on many dresses, even though I ended up buying the second dress I tried on. ♥️Glad you had a great experience too. I know it can make things not fun when you have a bad experience.

I went to D.B. as well and had a fantastic experience! I ended up buying my dress there! Both those dresses look stunning on you!!

#1 looks like it was made for you! So sorry to hear about your FMIL.

I had a super similar experience with DB. I actually chose one of the wild cards she pulled for me. I told her what I loved and disliked about each dress I picked and she went and found MY dress. It wasn't what I pictured at all but it ended up being the one. Congratulations! You're a gorgeous bride

Lmfao. That's ridiculous. My consultant didn't tell my measurements. I'm real life I'm about a size 8 in dresses. I've lost some weight, so maybe a six. She told me I was measuring a 12-14. Thank God I read on here that dresses run small. Anyway, she pulled all 12's and she ended up needing to clip them all because they were too big and she told me she would order a 10. She did tell me I was measuring at a 40F when I wear a 36DD, so who really knows.

Thank you so much!!! I was just looking at online and I realized that if I didn't try it on (or realized what dress it was in store) I wouldn't have ever looked it. It's weird looking in the stock photo, which again, goes to show you have to try everything on!

This David's Bridal is fairly new. They moved it from another location. It was super pretty to go into. The old one was gross, not going to lie. It was carpet and way to big so it seemed empty.

Love the second dress! I think DB gets a bad rap, but it was my first store and I had a great experience. I tried on some dresses I really loved and my consultant was great. While I didn’t find the one there I think it’s great for people to still go there

I went to David's Bridal for my dress and ended up finding one I really liked, but went back a week later and tried it on again before buying it to make sure that I was really sure and not just caught up in the moment of trying on dresses. I love the first one on you!

I also had a good experience at DB! I didn't end up purchasing my dress from there, but I found some nice dresses and my consultant was extremely nice and patient with me. I'll be going back in March with my bridesmaids and my mom to find their dresses or to at least get a sense of what they want.
Both of those dresses look amazing on you, but I agree, #1 is perfect!

I love the first dress! I had a fantastic experience at David's Bridal as well! I am not getting my alterations through them, I do hear that is where the nightmare can start. Congrats on having a great experience!

Im a DB bride too! I went there first because I felt like there was no way any of them would match the designer dress I loved and was going to try a week later, however I fell in love with MY davids dress 10x more than the designer dress. Any skeptical brides reading this, know that DB is a great place to start!

They both look beautiful on you! My personal favorite is #4 because I like the shape and higher waistline on you. I also love the lace aplique and the cute cap sleeves! If you like the off the shoulder from the 1st one, you could try slipping #4s shoulders to the side to be off shoulder as well. Those are just my thoughts and opinions but im so happy for you! Cant wait to hear what you pick!!
