It was on sale for $325 and I love it.. I didnt want to spend more then $500. But I guess I didnt realize all the other stuff that comes with buying a wedding dress.. The total is $650 includes.. Dress, veil, this box that you ship the dress to go get cleaned after wedding, a head piece, and...

Dress, veil, this box that you ship the dress to go get cleaned after wedding, a head piece, and taxes... I am starting to think I shouldnt have got all the other stuff cause a part of me feels like it would have been cheaper if I bought it somewhere else! IM HAVING REGRETS... And I assume I can't return anything.. I still havent got alterations and that she said would be another $200... Since it was the only one in store its a little to big for me not much but the bottom is way to long since Im 4'11!.. Anyway just feeling down about the prices.. but I do love the dress.

You don't need to get alterations done with david's bridal. Find a professional seamstress.

Thank you everyone!! I'm gonna get my dress altered somewhere else. I appreciate all the advice and so happy I got to return the things. Even though the lady gave me attitude.

OMG no. Stop. If you love the dress then that's excellent!! Bring it somewhere else to have it altered to save money on alterations bc DB charges way too much for it.

Also, you can probably return the accessories if you still have the receipt and if they weren't used. Maybe (don't quote me on that)

But different things do add up. You didn't have to get the box to have the dress cleaned in. Try to see if you can bring that back??

All in all I think that is a really good price for everything!!! Just get alterations done somewhere else. I bought my dress there and they charged my mother $350 for alterations. I went to another bridal boutique with my mother and FMIL to look at MOB/MOG dresses, and the owner of the boutique said that I could've brought my dress there for alterations and they only charge $30 for hemming, $20 for a bustle, etc. Seriously search for other places!!

I didn't read all of the comments, but if it hasn't been mentioned, definitely take a look on Etsy for your accessories! I am having a veil custom made for $40! Score!

Try to find a seamstress through your local dry cleaner or ask around for referrals. David's is shameful for what they charge for alterations. $200 is far too much for any kind of alterations. I say this because I am a seamstress and have heard horror stories about their alterations. My fee ends up being 1/3 to 1/2 of what they would charge.

Also LightInTheBox.com has awesome extras. Bought a beautiful beaded veil for my daughter for $40. Was $300 at the bridal store.
