Snacks after dinner?

I don't want guests to get hungry after dinner is over and put away. I think it's especially important with people drinking. Are you leaving your buffet open so people can go back for food? I was considering having some simple, dry snacks available after dinner. Peanut butter filled pretzels, trail mix and asian mix (wasabi peas, rice crackers, sea weed). And leave some paper food boats for guests to put the snacks in. (see photo)

I don't want to go fancy or high-maintenance food. This is for a very casual, outdoor wedding.

What do you think? Too weird?

I would be happy to see those snacks at a wedding :-) We'll probably end up having pizza since it's the most cost effective/yummy option at our venue.

I love snacks! Our wedding isn't over until midnight, so know our guests will be starving. Our favors are candy apples and we're going to put out Philly soft pretzels for everyone. Cheap and delicious!

We are having some nibbles out during cocktail hour, a three course meal for the wedding breakfast scheduled to finish around 7pm, then cake and a full buffet coming out at 8.30pm. Anyone who complains about being hungry has issues!!

I think your snacks idea is great - gives people something to keep them going if they need it.

We are having a nacho bar for a late night snack. I'm super excited and the venue is providing it for $1.00/person - SCORE!

I think the snacks you laid out sounds great! And I like the boat idea...way easier to carry around and dance with. I think big bowls or jars with scoops would do just fine.
