Becca, on September 5, 2014 at 1:32 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

Hey ladies, I have searched s'more bars in the forums, but havn't seen too many pictures.

I am looking for pictures of yours, just to get an idea what they look like?

Has anyone done this, or have pictures??

Thanks!

I was thinking of doing one and had this saved from Pinterest.

We're not doing one just because our venue does not allow it, but I love the idea!!

Someone posted photos of hers once. I think she used those gas canisters that go under food for buffets. The ones that keep the food warm.

Anyway, I think she did like 5 of those. Looked really cool!

We're doing one! My dad is currently in the process of making it, so no pictures of ours but it's going to look something like this.

    Bump.

I am interested in this as well. Would love to have a S'mores bar. As long as weather permits we will be having small bon fires on both sides of the venue so not sure if I will use those or set up a table with candles for an indoor S'mores bar.

Ps-- yes-- sterno cans can be used and is what we are using. The flame is safe (i.e., non-toxic), so there should be no issues in that regard.

We're doing one in St. Thomas but it will be over a small fire. I have to check with them about adding fussy bits to it lol. i suddenly want to dip my marshmallows in kahlua and call it good!

My sister did one at her wedding. She had an actual campfire, so no help on that front.

But for the actual selection of chocolates/ marshmallows, etc. She got TONS of different types of ghirradeli chocolate squares- caramel, mint, raspberry, PB, etc., and then different marshmallow flavors, different graham cracker flavors, and set them all out on cute plates, and let people go to town Smiley smile It was awesome and definitely something that people talked about!

Outside of our venue is a gas firepit and I will be providing the smore's makings but it won't be a s'mores bar per se. I bought gusseted bags and will each contain 2 grahams, 1 chocolate bar, one marshmallow and one wet wipe. I bought stickers off of VistaPrint to put on each bag and I will be tying them off with ribbon to match the decor. I bought a large planter in our main color and bought fish tank gravel to put in it. There are four pokers that will be stuck into the gravel in the planter for easy gripping and storage. Smiley smile

I love the idea of the ghiradelli chocolates, I was including the wet wipes too, that's critical!
