Small tear in veil

MCPD01, on August 5, 2016 at 5:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Brought my veil in bc I found a tear in it after I brought it home from the first fitting. Finally got a call back-they pretty much accused me of causing the hole and I told them there was no way!! I took it out of the bag and then brought it back the following weekend (2hr drive). They said that since the veil is long to just leave it bc it isn't noticeable?? Freak out moment?? Thoughts?

Where on the veil is the tear? Where did you buy it from?? That seems crazy they won't allow you to exchange it. I know its not ideal, but you can buy one on amazon or etsy for pretty cheap!

I hope you get this figured out!

I would take one stitch to hold down that corner and then forget about it.

Super glue would hold that tear down without extra film (dab it off as it is drying. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

I would just try to fix it a little at home. It's probably not noticeable, but you do want to make sure it doesn't get any bigger, so you need to secure that corner down somehow.

You can fix that easy. Just use a toothpick dipped in glue on the end of it so that it doesn't clump. Take your time and you will be fine.

That's too bad it happened. But at the same time we always need to expect little things to go wrong. I would just chalk this up to one of those little things. Dab a little glue on it and forget about it!

Just darn it. I wouldn't risk supper glue. If it comes out funky and makes the veil lay weird it would be unfixable. Just darn it with a little fishing line or fine white thread and it should go unnoticed. If youve never darned its simple, dont let it intimidate you.
