We did a carving station, a mashed potato and macaroni bar, and a taco/fajita station.

We had a carving station and pasta station. At night, we had a nacho bar. They were all excellent. There were a lot of other options as well. They offered a pizza bar, taco bar, s'mores bar, french fire bar, and so much more.

A carving station for sure, a pasta and a mashed potato bar always go over really well. I love that idea, my only concern would be people waiting in line (they always make that comment on four weddings) but it’s such a fun idea and keeps people up and mingling more, I’m thinking about doing that for our rehearsal dinner

Hey Morgan! What style of food do you want to serve? Does your caterer have anything that they specialize in?

We're doing a s'mores station and a macaroni bar because that was the best part of the tasting we went to. I've also seen meat stations and mashed potatoes - our caterer also offers a french fry station that we're having for cocktail hour.

Thank you guys for all your ideas so far! What I meant by small plates was like a meat, starch, and veggie. “Small plates” are starting to become more popular but of course I never have good ideas. One thing I’m thinking is beef medallions, broccolini and mashed potatoes.
