Small details?

Emily, on March 8, 2020 at 12:13 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
I keep feeling like there are things I’m forgetting to think about. I don’t have a wedding planner or day of coordinator. I’m not getting married at a traditional venue so things like trash cans are on me. That’s been my recent thing to pop in my head. Do I have enough trash cans for things?? What about napkins? Do I need to have a sign for this? What is everyone’s small details that might get overlooked with the bigger stuff? Currently I’m working on reserved seating signs, a guest book sign with instructions, a gift card box, and a cupcake display sign (reminding guests to wait for the bride and groom). When the trash can thing popped in my head I completely started to panic like what other really obvious thing am I forgetting??

I had a drink station and diy social hour for mine and when my mom asked if I got cups for the drinks I said of course, duh. When she asked if I got napkins... in my head I thought omg I don’t... but I told her I did because I didn’t want her thinking she was right haha so then I hurried off right after and got napkins xD it’s easy for things like that to slip so make a list of inventory you think you need and check each one off with what you bought to make sure

This may not be something you have to do as your caterer will probably do it, but I plan events for my job and I’ve been known to forget to request our F&B department have salt and pepper shakers on all the tables. Granted F&B should know to do that, but they don’t do it so I have to remember it.

Envelopes for day of vendor tips? Basket for flower girl? Transportation to and from venue figured out?
That’s all I’ve got at the moment.
