Small Ceremony: Wedding dress?

Kayla, on April 16, 2020 at 5:32 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
Hi guys! Like many others we are having to postpone our wedding. We went ahead and postponed it to next May. We still are wanting to have a small ceremony on our original date. I’m leaning more towards wearing a different dress & saving my wedding dress for the postponed date. What is everyone else doing?

My wedding is June 27th. More than likely we will have a small ceremony on that date and then a larger ceremony/celebration later. I am wearing my wedding dress for both.

I’m wearing my dress on for our “elopement” ceremony. We cancelled the big reception entirely we had scheduled for 4/11 and haven’t set a date to for a reception until this is really over. So I say why not wear it now just in case the “big” event never happens? But I also probably would have worn it twice vs buying again.

If our wedding Is postponed we will do the same thing. I will wear my original dress at our small ceremony and then again next year.. but I might also get a new one next year lol.

If we end up having to postpone, I plan to wear my cute, casual white bachelorette dress for the elopement, and save my wedding dress for the postponed formal ceremony/party.
