Small cake for bride and groom?

We will be having a small cake just for me and FH and serving cupcakes and other desserts for the guests, I have no idea what cakes go for so I'm trying to figure out an estimate for a cake such as the one attached. I'm trying to spend $50 or less, or am I way off here?

    We're getting a cake about that size for $36 in Tennessee so depending on where you live your expectations seem reasonable.

    I'm doing the same. Cupcakes for everyone and a small cut cake for FH and I. Ours won't be that tall (I don't think) but it's 20$. I'm also in TN.

    I'm doing something similar. I am having a kitchen cake for the guests that will be the same flavors etc just in a sheet cake that is served to everyone else. I think I was quoted $35 for our personal cake. But I was quoted much higher at other bakeries.

    I would definitely shop around and get several quotes/consultations/tastings in! The extra shopping around will save us a few hundred dollars.
