Small Bridal Party??

My FH and I are discussing our bridal party and our close friends that we were considering are going to be on the other side of the world so most likely won't make it (we're all military so planning really far in advance is basically a joke). I suggested just having our siblings as the bridal party. So it would be my sister, my brother, and his brother. FH gave me a weird look and said 3 people might be too small. What do you guys think? Our wedding is going to have around 60-80 guests.

Don't worry about it! Do as you please! We are inviting 350 guests and there will be hardly any bridal party; just one MOH and a best man. No one else.

There is no right or wrong amount when it comes to bridal parties. I only had two & it was perfect.

I think that's a good number especially for your guest list. Some articles say 1 BP member per 20 guests. I've never heard of that and it didn't affect my decision on my bridal party but I coukd see where it would be odd to have too many in the BP compared to number of guests.

We're at 76 on our guest list and doing 2 each. I want to spoil my maid of honor and bridesmaid a bit and I can do that more affordably with 2... less complexity with the ceremony, less picture time, less dress concerns... and minimal explanation as everyone knows they're my two oldest girl friends I've stayed in touch with for over 20 years. Plus, the 3 of us grew up together, so no third wheel as we are used to the 3 of us together. My fiancee will have just his dad and his brother. I love the intimacy of our small parties.
