Slick bottom shoes- i don't want to fall!

You can buy anti skid pads that you stick to the bottom of your shoes. I've seen them in the check out section of shot stores, but I'm sure you can buy them online too.

I am not 100% certain on this but I have heard if you scuff them up a bit they become less slippery?! Not sure if you want to scuff up your wedding shoes but I’ve heard that as a trick

I saw a video someone took a cheese grater to bottom of shoe to scruff it up. If you do this I would try it with a cheaper pair that you don’t care if they get ruined.

Pro tip, try out those anti slip pads ahead of time on a floor similar to your dance floor. Some of them have so much grip that they’ll grab the floor with very slight pressure, which means you may have trouble with turns or any kind of sliding along the dance floor. Pre-test and if they don’t work, scuff the bottoms on a sidewalk or with a grater/coarse sandpaper instead

You can take a nail file and scuff up the bottoms which will help make them less slippery

Get these! My shoes aren’t slippery but I might get some just to be safe

I’d definitely recommend getting the anti-skid pads! My cousin was in a lot of pageants growing up, and that’s what she always used to make her heels not skid. I borrowed a pair of her heels for a “pageant” I was in during high school, and the pads work so well!
