I try(keyword here) to have an avid skin care regimen. I currently use Clinique 3-Step for oily skin (I actually use to be a Clinique rep) and am very pleased with it but I find more than improving the look of my skin it simply maintains it. I've also heard great things about Philosophy's skin care...

I've also heard great things about Philosophy's skin care line and am thinking about switching over. What is your current skin regimen and what do you prefer???

I love Origins! I use the moisturizer, serum, modern friction and toner. There is an acne treatment too: super spot remover.

I use stuff from my mom's business called "seacret" it is amazing! It's all stuff from the dead sea which makes your skin look, feel, and smell fabulous. They have all kinds if stuff from acne wash, eye stuff, make up remover, lotions, scrubs, shampoos, etc. I will never use anything else.

A friend who has researched natural remedies suggested that I mix activated charcoal and bentonite clay with water to make a cleansing mask for washing my face. WOW! Cleans my pores completely.

She recommended that I use Coconut Oil as my moisturizer. PERFECT! I was scared it would be greasy, but it's not. It does a much better job than Aveda and other major brands I've tried.

    Ladies,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go see a licensed professional to get skin care products. I am an esthetician, trust me. Candace above was 100% correct in saying that over the counter products are pricey and have very minimal active ingredients. Most professional lines are the same or LESS than over the counter and will work 100 times better. Why waste the $$?

@Julie -- Retin A is great for fading (at least it has been for me), on top of all its other benefits. It's great for the eye area because it's one of the few products proven to prevent/reduce wrinkles. It's prescription, only, and makes your skin slightly more sensitive to sun, but it works wonders for most people. I know a lot of middle aged ladies swear by it and wish they had started earlier. I've also found that just switching up your cleanser one night a week can make a difference. Oh, and exfoliate every day! St. Ives has a new Oatmeal scrub that's much more gentle than their Apricot scrub but also more effective than the Sensitive Skin version, and I adore it.

To anyone making a skincare switch, remember that it it can take weeks to adjust to a new product and you'll probably break out first before it gets better. I got "the uglies" (gross, right?) for 2 months when starting Retin A, as most do most people, before everything improved. It sucked but was so worth it!

I try to keep it as natural and simple as possible and use Annmarie Gianni products! But I do get breakouts (still arghh) I started using this as a toner, really liking it so far and only has the strong ACV smell for a second Smiley winking...http://bodymeetbride.com/homemade-beautifying-toner/

I use Arbonne's RE9 skincare line plus their Genius Nightly Resurfacing Pads! I absolutely love it! All of their products are pure, safe, and beneficial and are made according to Europe's skincare regulations - they ban 1400 ingredients and in the US we ban less than 15! The RE9 is an anti-aging line and it has made my face much more smooth, even, and bright! The Genius pads help with evening out my skin tone, reducing the size of pores, and resurfacing my skin so I notice less of the acne scars that I had!

Let me know if you're interested in learning more! I highly recommend it!! :-)

This is something that I struggle with. I hardly ever remember to wash my face off at night, gross I know. But when I do I use philosophy and it's amazing. It leaves my face feeling so silky and smooth. I do use a nance wash in the shower that helps my menstrual breakouts and it's called Acnedote. That's pretty amazing too.

I love LOVE a range called Paulas Choice. It is inexpensive, has no junk and has worked wonders on my skin.

Also remember that what you eat greatly improves the look of your complexion. Eat the rainbow everyday, add healthy fats and drink plenty of water Smiley smile
