Sister of the bride

My sister is a BM simply because she is my only sister...that's about it. We have always been close as kids (it was just us 2) but as adults we just took two different routes. She lies a lot, and I mean about stupid things. I told my MOH and other BM's to not be surprised if she doesn't participate...

My sister is a BM simply because she is my only sister...that's about it. We have always been close as kids (it was just us 2) but as adults we just took two different routes. She lies a lot, and I mean about stupid things. I told my MOH and other BM's to not be surprised if she doesn't participate in anything or comes to the bach party. I basically predict she will be there on the wedding day and buy her dress, and I can see her buying her dress being an issue. Sighsss!! Is this fair to my BM's? They go above and beyond what they have to for me, they don't seem upset but its kind of bothering me a little.

    @Emily no my sister is just that...my sister! This isn't the only time she has done this. She's been this way for awhile.

    And every one isn't attending 3 out of 6 are.

    Your situation sounded like mine, but my sis isn't that bad we just aren't super close. I had very little expectations for her, but she ended up blowing me away with how much she wanted to be involved and helped with a lot. I think it's good to set low expectations for all of your BMs and as Emily has worded it, leave things as an invitation to them to particpate. If they don't, they don't, but don't get too caught up by it. You don't need a gang of girls to have a wonderful wedding experience.
