Simple Ceremony Decor

AmandaNicoleLynn, on December 22, 2014 at 4:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

I want to know what you ladies used or are going to use for your ceremony decor (pictures are great if you have them!)

We're having an outdoor ceremony at a golf course, and I'm not sure what to do for a simple look, so I'm looking for some inspiration.

We are also having an outdoor ceremony on the golf course. We are going to keep it simple and let the golf course be the decor. Something like this probably. Of course our ceremony will be no longer than about 12 minutes so there is really not much decoration effort going into it.

Shauna - that looks very simple and clean, love it!

This is the promo pic our venue uses for their weddings, so it's very similar.

Our ceremony is in an outdoor garden gazebo, with lights up (year round) at night. we don't plan on any extra decor or florals, it'll be seen for 20 minutes then just backdrop for the party when people are outside.

We are just using lanterns and candles for the aisle and a wood arch at the front with a few more candles. I love simple.

We were married in front of the garden and had string lights running across the top.

We're doing a white arch with (wording from our florist): half-garland of greens, dotted with 6 ivory and 6 blue hydrangea, center medallion of 3-4 white & 3-4 blue hydrangea. Approx. 12' long.

The first picture is the style of flowers, although obviously not our flowers or even the right color~

Then we're lining the aisle with these lanterns and flower petals.

I will be doing mercury glass lanterns filled with fresh flowers on every other chair. We will also have a chuppah made of birch poles. I was planning to do simple like the 1st picture, but my mom insisted on flowers for the chuppah so I decided to do something like the 2nd picture with olive branches and flowers in yellow, orange and white.

    @AndixLyn that is beautiful !!!

Our ceremony is going to be under this huge oak tree in a state park (if It doesnt rain) However, it is an outdoor amphitheater so there is this backboard we plan on making a cover for (unsure with what yet) & if it rains we will move the backdrop inside our reception hall & that will be how we define the alter area.

Other than that we wont be adding much other than an aisle runner (we plan on doing just the edge type )

These are all so pretty! I'm going to have to look into lanterns, I think those might work for us.

Andi - Vegas, too cool!! I can't wait to see your pictures after Smiley smile

We are getting married at a hotel. I am thinking of renting two columns and putting floral arrangements on them to establish a focal point...I'm lost after that, lol

We are also having the ceremony outside at a gc. For the aisle decor I am having six chair decorations with three blush roses with black and white ribbon. The arch will have two growers bunches of curly willow painted gold on each side with cascading kissing balls in blush and white. We wanted something fairly simple and easy.

We're getting married by the water. I was thinking of having flowers hanging from shepherds hooks every few rows, but maybe we don't need it? Our ceremony will be pretty short and like others have said, everything will be moved pretty quickly.

We are getting married outside at 5:30 at a huge tree on a farm which will be our backdrop. We are just going to have shepherd hooks with flower balls down the aisle. Since it will only be 20 minutes I didn't want to spend too much time and money on extra decorations when the farm is beautiful on its own.

We're making an arch similar to this photo. I'm going to buy long pieces of tulle to drape just like it, and I am considering a smaller arrangement of silk flowers. We went to Lowe's and priced out 2x4s. Between the wood, the cement (into buckets/boxes for stabilization), the tulle, and the flowers, I think it will only cost us maybe $40-50. I'm renting white garden chairs (as pictured in Shauna's, Shelby's, and Rebecca's posts). I think that'll be it. Our ceremony is at a park overlooking downtown Smiley smile

One of my grooms built a wooden arch with a step for me to stand on. He & his bride are tall and I'm a shorty!
