Silk Flowers verse Real Flowers

I am having a hard time justifying the amount of money a florist wants to make my centerpiece arrangements using real flowers. I can make my centerpieces for a 1/3 of the money using fake flowers. After the wedding I was going to sell the centerpieces. Please tell me what you girls did.

    I did artificial flowers for my ceremony flowers. I hit up Michaels and spent $38 and it was perfect. I wasn't a fan of paying a bunch of money for things that were going to die and not be enjoyed really.
