danielle, on August 16, 2011 at 11:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

We are having a reception on the beach and our colors are fuschia and tangelo(similar to light orange)..looking for a good tasting signature drink to match our colors to pass around at coctail hour..maybe something a bit tropical?? IDK...any suggestions?? Thanks

We were thinking about a signature drink too. Even though I still think it's a great idea, I would keep in mind who your guests are. There's no way my FH would ever drink anything fuschia colored. Perhaps offer two drinks, they don't really have to be in your wedding colors exactly?

Danielle! WE HAVE THE SAME COLORS!!! Smiley smile ahhhh! I love our colors Smiley smile

My MOH and I were trying to find some drinks with these colors too for my bridal shower!

    We found this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/luscious-slush-punch/detail.aspx

But, we're also considered doing OJ with sprite for non alcoholic and OJ with champagne and a raspberries at the bottom in champagne glasses

    Mai Tai :]

Pour light rum, creme de almond and triple sec, in order, into a collins glass. Almost fill with equal parts of sweet and sour mix and pineapple juice. Add dark rum, a large straw, and serve unstirred.

    Delicious, trust me ;] haha

Look for "sunrise" cocktails and see if you can make them so they are pink on the bottom and orange on top instead of orange on the bottom and yellow on top. Maybe cranberry or pomegranate on the bottom, OJ on top?

some of these look pink and orange/yellow:

    Maybe this?

Sorry if that first link didn't work. Search for "sunrise cocktail" or "pink orange sunrise cocktail". I looked in Google images first to see if any stood out as the right colors.

The easiest way to get that "pink at the bottom" look is to use Grenadine. It will sink to the bottom of the glass.
