Signature Cocktail....Without Hard Liquor?

OctoberBrideeee, on March 3, 2017 at 4:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

Hi! My venue doesn't allow us to have hard alcohol at all, so we will be providing beer, wine and champagne. We'd still like to do a signature cocktail during our cocktail hour...does anyone have any ideas for drinks we could do?

    Uhhhh.... no?

I guess you could serve a white wine spritzer.

Mimosas, bellinis, beer-mosas, a black velvet, wine spritzers. My caterer does an amazing cocktail with fruit tea and champagne.

You could do champagne "cocktails". Would they let you use bitters? One of my favorites is Champagne with angostura bitters.

A champagne cocktail would be awesome, I would drink that. Or sangria with only wine and not the liquor?

How about a sangria or a bellini? Since you're getting married in October, you could try an autumn bellini with mulled cider and prosecco. I barely even drink, but I love that!

    Iced Black Tea

    Lemonade

    Modello

You can make the black tea/lemonade before and add in the beer when it is served. My friend always got this at brunch. It is wicked good.

Worse comes to worse go to a bar and do some market research, make a date night out of it.

We had Strawberry Lemonade Champagne at our wedding. You could definitely do a Champagne cocktail of some sort without liquor.

I almost did a moscato/lemonade signature cocktail. I ended up deciding to do a vodka lemonade...but if you look on Pinterest you can find all sorts of signature cocktails that use wine as a base.

The thought of a bellini is making my mouth water.

But a good fall sangria would be amazing!

Our signature drink was Poinsettias. Sparkling wine and cranberry juice.

I don't have a cute name for it, but I make mimosas with lemonade instead of orange juice. So good!

Champagne cocktails, white/red/rose sangrias.....and google beer cocktails; apparently this is very cool now (the only one that comes to mind is Shandy, which is beer and lemonade, but I'm sure there are others)

You can mix champagne/prosecco with all kinds of things; pomogranite (sp?) juice, oj of course....red wine spritzers, though that sounds really weird? They're great, especially with red wine, proscecco and an orange twist. (sorry, apparently my spellcheck isn't working....)

There are some champagne cocktails I like, but they usually also have some hard liquor in them

I would do one with Champagne for yours and his with beer maybe. We don't drink much but we are having beer wine and bubbly and no signature. My FH loves cider beer maybe if he loves a particular beer or something you can make that the signature and if you love a particular wine, beer, or champagne!

    Hope this was helpful!!
