Showing your fh dresses but not your dress

It is not bad luck to show your groom any dress in advance. You can show him your dress. Some guys go with their brides to be to pick them out. Not a new thing. It was true when I did gown fitting and alterations 20-25 years ago, and is true now. Believing it is bad luck is a superstition, like believing it is bad luck to cross the path of a black cat, or that you should never step on a crack between sections of a cement sidewalk. Not rational. Some people like the idea of the groom being surprised. Others think, if he sees the dress, or me in the dress, at least once during dress shopping or pickup, then he has the enjoyment of months of anticipation, and the process of wedding planning becomes more real early on. Because he can visualize how it will be, and enjoy thinking of how she will look. ... Not repeatedly, so it loses the wow. But early on, then put away. Many brides dress at home, with their fiance in residence .

I tried on about 10 dresses, showed FH models in those 10 dresses from website and he narrowed down to about 6. One being my favorite; I then went with my parents and FMIL and picked my dress. I at least know he likes the dress I picked but has no idea which one or what I look like in any of them.

I would have no problem showing my FH the rejects, but he doesn't want to see anything about them at all, and I'm respecting his wishes (even though I'm dying to know what he thinks of the dress I bought then started to hate, and then exchanged it for my current dress lol)

I've shown my fiance dresses that speak to me. He has also seen the dress I will be getting. I don't believe in bad luck. To show or not to show is personal preference.

I used pinterest to show him ideas of what I was thinking to see what he was also attracted too. I don't think it's bad luck!

I did the same. Showed him other dresses and we would talk about what each of us liked and didnt like
