Shower 3 weeks before the wedding?

My Aunt offered to throw me a shower months ago but wanted to wait until the weather was nicer. Now she needs a hip replacement and is hoping to do the shower on June 11. The wedding is July 8. I think that's too close to the wedding. Thoughts?

If you know about it and schedule the time for it it isn't too close. A surprise shower that close not a good idea. I almost didn't show for a shower my ex MIL threw for some of her out of town guests because I had so much to do, I called and canceled our lunch plans!

My wedding is June 24 and I have a shower on May 6 and June 4. I don't think it's too close!

That's not too close at all! Mine will probably end up being close to too early because of the costs of traveling between AZ and WI and having to move from AZ to who knows where a couple months before the wedding.

It was definitely close!! I would start addressing thank you cards as people RSVP to the shower to save time. You can also start the thank you cards and finish them once you know what the gift is.
