Here is my old engagement ring. He offered to upgrade it many times during the 20 years we were together and I said no, maybe I should've said yes... I kept this and my wedding band to give to Sara.

We just went ring shopping a couple of weeks ago when FH was home on a short leave, so its gonna be a surprise when I get it. But here is a stock pick.

Lol we were 18 and very poor! I need to make sure Sara adds it to her insurance policy when she gets it, if it was $80 in 1983, it must be worth at least $100 by now.

@ Sharon - that's like what my mom had when she first got married... I think like 10 years ago she got an upgrade... they've been married for 30 years though!!! crazy how much people spend on rings and weddings these days...

@KK - wow i showed that to Rick and he said where you posting your rings..lol. Very similar!!

Funny, i went to her profile to see where she got her ring...and she listed some of the gifts...a house from her parents (wow), she bought hubby a cartier watch and her parents bought hubby a huge flat screen tv! holy shiz!!!! I showed Rick, he now wants to know when my dad is sending him his flat screen TV.

Boooo. I haven't gotten mine yet! You ladies are all very lucky... all very pretty rings! Hope to post mine before the wedding happens next fall! haha

I haven't taken a picture of it on my hand yet lol. I knew I didn't want a traditional diamond because I was born in April so diamond is my birth stone. I've always loved sapphires and when I found Brilliant Earth jeweler and saw this ring, I had to have it!

I'm a journalist so I thought the scrolling was very fitting :-). The matching band has not arrived yet because I had to custom order it. It has the same scrolling as my engagement ring with a row of rotating diamonds and sapphires. :-)
