Any other brides out there that didn't go with a diamond? I've been into ethically sourced/lab created jewelry for a long time, especially after taking a class that got into the ethics of the diamond industry. When it came down to it, I wanted something unique and affordable. He found this amazing jeweler on Easy and I LOVE my ring, and the best part is how "me" it is. We've started looking at wedding rings and will most likely pick something from her shop on Etsy as well.

My ring is a lab created white sapphire which is a 9 on the MOHS scale so it is pretty durable - not diamond strength, but with the half bezel setting I feel comfortable I won't lose or damage it. If anything does happen, it wouldn't be a crazy cost to replace it either. Here are the bands we are looking at:

This kind of post is my favorite. My husband designed it himself, based off of a Tudor rose. The center is a ruby, the petals are diamonds, and the leaves are emeralds. The gold and diamonds came from some of his family's jewelry.

@EricaTx ooh pretty! I love the thought behind it as well. :-) I love that period of history; it's really gorgeous!

Awww @MoonRide I love that you included your daughters in the ring! And I love how subtle and sweet it is. Birthstones are nice but for 5 people that'd be a lot of potentially clashing colors lol

Mine is a morganit stone, I love the slight hint of pink it has.

This is mine. It's sapphire with diamond accents. I am completely in love with it, and he picked it out all on his own Smiley smile
