I know that I still have time, but I'm thinking about centerpieces right now. I don't want anything fancy, so I'm not sure right now if I can manage to DIY or if I would be better off hiring somebody. I'm thinking about little vases with babys breath and a few succulents in mini pots. Or even...

I know that I still have time, but I'm thinking about centerpieces right now. I don't want anything fancy, so I'm not sure right now if I can manage to DIY or if I would be better off hiring somebody.

I'm thinking about little vases with babys breath and a few succulents in mini pots. Or even succulents as escort cards.

Here are some blogs with our venue:

I feel like the decoration is always kept to a minimum there since the surroundings are just so pretty already.

Did you do your centerpieces yourself? Do you regret it? Would you rather have hired somebody in hindsight?

The inspiration pictures are not the best btw, I know I saw something better, but I really can't find it right now.

Love all the different centerpieces, very pretty!

These are ours, they are all DIY and the coolest thing about them is that the large vases have remote control lights that will be turned on when we are announced as husband and wife in the reception venue. So excited! Smiley smile

Great idea with the paint stirrers, Mrs. Shuey. It doesn't get less expensive than paint stirrers (in fact, they're free at places like Home Depot and Lowes). Nice transformation. Amie, you're a lucky lady. Your father is obviously skilled in this area, and the pieces he's creating have a really cool silhouette. The finished product will look terrific. And Rebecca, I still say you should be writing a wedding blog. You've got great ideas, gorgeous pics of your own weddng, and you can certainly write. You articulate all things wedding quite beautifully. You have a very sweet personality. It comes across in every post you author.

Here is a mock up of mine, i actually attached a picture of the candles that i bought to go in them they are white so that they match the table runner and the vases. i am also having the florist add some flowers to the lanterns so that they connect with the vases better.

I did these arrangements myself. I like the simplicity and rustic feel of them.

Here is the centerpieces that I made...photo from a quick table mock up in the venue at night (sorry if it is a little dark!) I made the flower boxes out of recycled pallet wood. Table numbers are made from cut oak, wooden dowels. I cut the numbers out using my craft cutting machine with vinyl.
