No. Nothing about my personality or appearance will change after marriage except for an additional ring on my finger. It's not 1960, women don't need to censor themselves because of their relationship status.

Agreed! My FH loves me for me, and I don't need to change my style and appearance just because I will now be a Mrs... but I will say I don't walk around half naked either, so not an issue regardless, lol!

I don't think so, but I've toned it down since meeting my FH. He's more conservative/traditional especially when it comes to clothes and I like to respect that. But it's not 100% for him. I'm maturing and just don't feel the need to wear crop tops and mini skirts in public. Its just not my style anymore.

I think people should dress in a way that respects their relationship. I'll let everyone interpret that in whatever way inappropriate for their relationship.

How do you define "being sexy"?

I think we first should think about what does it mean to be sexy. Some women get called sexy for having a certain body shape and just existing.
Is sexy a feeling? Attitude? Series of actions?
Personally I think being sexy is the intent to initiate sexual arousal in someone else. I would hope someone isn't out doing that without their spouse 🤣

For me, sexiness is associated with how you dress.

My fiance thinks naked is sexy. 🤣So I don't need to think much about that.

Smiley xd I personally don't dress too "provocative" unless I'm out with my husband. I've found that many men associate me dressing "sexy" with me being single.

That's actually really funny you said that. I had a similar discussion with friends!
One of our friends is a hijab wearing woman, she's married, and covers head to toe. A man called her sexy recently and she was reasonably upset. But it promoted the question of do clothes really make you sexy? Or will people find attraction anywhere?
We figured clothes can help but overall there's no one to be sexy or avoid it and intent matters. Going out looking for attention is different than someone else approaching you. 🤷

I don't dress super provocative to begin with but I think since dating my FH I've actually gotten more comfortable amping up the sex appeal (this doesn't mean showing lots of skin). My FH likes it when I pull out a little black dress or my short high waisted jean shorts, it means he gets to show me off 😊

No. I've never dressed "sexy" to begin with and that won't change.

Like beauty, sexiness is in the eye of the beholder. I totally agree going out looking for attention is different than someone else approaching you. I don't think married folks, men or women, should go out looking for attention because it may lead to infidelity. However, you can't stop someone from approaching you, even if you're wearing a paper bag.

I'm having a chuckle at the paper bag comment. It's true.
And yes, you shouldn't be looking for attention of any sort of you're married.

I think everyone's definition of what it means to be sexy is so different and that's why I chose the discussion question. What does dressing "sexy" mean to you?

Sometimes I go to the corner store looking like I just rolled out of bed but men still try to talk to me. It's so confusing.
