I always enjoy seeing the wedding dress at weddins, so If I were a guest, I would love to see the dress on you!

I think most for the reception guest (at least the women) will want to see you in your dress. But in the end it is up to you!

The answer is wear what YOU are going to feel comfortable in! If you are looking for someone to validate that it would be perfectly acceptable-it absolutely would be! This is still part of your wedding and if you loved your dress and how you felt in it-here is the perfect event to wear it again and feel fabulous! If it really feels a bit strange to you-here is the perfect reason for a new dress! This event is all about celebrating your wedding-its a fun event that is full of joy for what the two of you have accomplished together. You should wear an outfit that does not distract you from feeling that way!

I'm going to wear my dress as long as possible. You are spending a good chunk of change on this thing. Plus this is the one and only(hopefully) that you get to wear a big fancy dress. Plus I would think if would make you feel prety. But if you really want to change I would say you should aleast do your first dance as husband and wife in it then change. I think one of the things I look forward to most is seeing the Bride in her dress!

I am having the same dilemna! I am getting married in Paris and then having a reception in CA later. I does feel weird to wear the wedding dress when there will be no ceremony. I am thinking to get a head piece with a blusher veil that I can wear to both, but buy two dresses. My reception dress will be a tea-length white dress with a cute hat/headpiece. Plus I will have tons of big photos printed on foam boards to show off my actual wedding dress.

The son of a friend got married in the bride's out-of-state hometown. His parents threw a reception here and the couple wore their wedding clothes. It was nice to see them in their "fancy clothes" -- tux and gown.

Wear it, even if it is just for an hour. Sure, you could do a photo album/post with you in it but why not wear it again? We were going to do the cruise wedding and then a reception to follow a couple months later, and I had planned on wearing my dress to the reception to show it off a little more. The top 3 things about the wedding other than the marriage itself is the location, the reception, and the dress.

I'm kind of jealous that you have the option TO wear it again for a good reason Smiley smile I would wear it, and like others have been saying, if later in the evening change out of it!

I plan on wearing mine at my reception after getting married in Hawaii. My friend did it and I thought it was a great idea.

well prom is just around the corner and I'm in a really really huge money bind, so if anyone that resides in southern California, or is a prominent online bargain shopper, and you know great bargains for designer evening dresses .
