Should i send out Invitations??

Emly, on March 27, 2020 at 10:13 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

June Brides!!

Have you already sent out your invitations?? our Wedding date is June 6th and with the state of the world we are unsure if the wedding will even be a possibility anymore. But we are hopeful!! My state just announced Lock Down till the 4th of May.

Like I said at this point we do not plan on cancelling, our envelopes are already stuffed and ready to go (minus the Stamp) Our RSVP by date is May 9th. part of me wants to wait to see what the world looks like but the other part of me wants to give our guest proper notice if the wedding is still a go. What would you do??

I would definitely have a plan B. Maybe wait another week or so! Unfortunately with things changing so often it’s so hard to tell if things will still be on lockdown. And at this point it’s about the health of guests too, ya know? I hope this is gone real soon! We rescheduled our April wedding for August!

My wedding is june 13 and we have a ton of international, as well as domestic, travelers so our invites went out RIGHT before lockdowns were implemented in the states. So now we're just gonna email everyone if the date changes and call it a day lol it's too early to officially make a call so i'm just moving forward as planned until it's obvious we have to move it Smiley sad

My wedding is June 27. I had planned on sending invites out in the next two weeks. With everything going on I’m holding on to them until the end of April and then either sending them if things look good or sending change the dates if things look like they still do know.

We are June 8 and are about to send our invitation out with an insert that says we are carefully monitoring the situation and will keep everyone updated via our website. We feel like it is too early to make any decisions but don't want to wait too long to send them out. We have started to work out a few other options depending on how things go down, so we aren't worried about it, but if our original date is still a GO we want to be prepared for that!

We are also June 6th and plan on sending out invites in the next week or so. We have card inserts to go in with our invites that state we are carefully monitoring the situation and to visit our website for updates.

Hi Emly! It's definitely a crazy time of stress and uncertainty for everyone! Right now it sounds like most couples are waiting a few more weeks before making any final decisions about their June weddings, but prepare yourself for the possibility that your plans may need to change. Smiley heart
