Should i rent heaters, help!

Brian, on December 10, 2024 at 12:57 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
Okay so our reception is outdoors on a lanai over looking Jacksonville Beach the end of March early April. Do you think I need heaters? It could be low 60s worst case scenario high 50s. But it's closer to April than Feb so I am thinking it will be low 60s.

Thank you for your help!!

You could check the estimate of temperature at https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/jacksonville-beach/climate

It certainly would help to have some heaters around if there is a likelihood of being too cold for people. It also depends how many people you have and whether you have guests coming from colder cities and your overall plans for the reception -- like having a DJ or live music and how late you plan to go.

Thank you, I didn't even consider that. Almost everyone is from more northern states except 1 person. 😊

You could ask some of them if 60deg is okay for them for an outdoor reception.

Regardless of if people are used to the colder weather, I would rent heaters. Unless you want all of your reception photos to feature people wearing jackets/coats. For women especially, wedding guest attire isn’t usually the warmest.

Renting heaters is a good idea. The temperature will get cooler as it gets later in the evening and the sun goes down. You can always turn the heaters off if it ends up being too warm.

What is the policy regarding heaters at the venue? Is it okay to bring in heater? I assume these are the propane heater towers.
