Should I have a wedding? Or reception?

So my husband and I got married in a court house before he left for deploying.. I'm confused on my options of having that "big day" with the dress, family, friends, and food etc. Note: No one knows we're married except our immediate family and his coworkers. There has been no sort of celebration...

I agree with @Celia, your guest can know that you did in fact have courthouse wedding and now are doing it in a big event. Celebrate as big or as small as you want. Yes, you are just as married right now as someone who had a 300 guest event, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate it the way you as a couple envisioned.

There already a post on this. Get legally married first and then have the wedding n reception. You are not decieving anyone.

Have the wedding you want! I would never be bothered by someone getting legally married before that day, it baffles me that anyone actually complains about that.

I would do both! You and your hubby deserve it!
