Don't feel guilty at all. We didn't register either. No problem/issues.

We are having a destination wedding, over a holiday no less, so it will be expensive for people to attend. I included a registry tab on our website, but populated it with one sentence, "Your presence is more important to us than presents, so we are opting to forgo a registry."
