But I also wanted to say this: like you I never dreamed of wedding dresses (or anything to do with my wedding) and I think that actually made it so much easier for me to pick out my dress and plan my wedding. I just chose what I wanted and liked, without searching fruitlessly for something to match my lifelong vision of my wedding day (since that didn't exist). Go with your gut and trust your instincts!

Really wanted a short dress. Wanted a beach wedding and I’m 5’2”. Definitely do what you want! All of those look great! I saved so many short dresses on Pinterest. When did Pinterest stop being for real people and only cater to dream houses and dream weddings. No one had a bathroom that size!

For the record, I am extremely clumsy and I wore a floor-length dress for my wedding; because it was altered to fit my body specifically, it was the right length and I never tripped over it when walking on flat ground - in rougher/grassy areas, I just held it while walking. Tea length is also a great option if you'll be primarily on turf grass.
