I cannot find a wedding gown or even a gown that suits my body. I've kept a gown that I wore 5 years ago to a gala thats nice but I remembered tripping in it lol. Lack of grace.
Are any of you ladies opting for a short wedding dress?

I won’t be wearing a short dress for my ceremony or reception, but I will be wearing one for the after party! I think short wedding ceremony dresses are awesome though, especially for small, casual weddings/elopements!
I'm not big on short dresses for weddings. I love me a short party dress but for me personally I wouldn't do it for my wedding. Although I've seen pictures of short wedding dresses and they look pretty on some people!
I think you've gone to the wrong bridal salon. Nothing wrong with a short gown, personally not for me as a bride. An experienced bridal salon should be able to take your budget, height, and figure into account and come up with quite a few gowns for you to choose from. And if you are tripping on the gown, it's too long. I recommend finding a boutique salon near you for more personalized service. And if you decide on short, you'll be beautiful, but I don't think you've been given choices.

I know you aren't asking me, but I thought some of the short dresses were very pretty. What have you drempt of all of your life? Do you like full skirts or more slim fitting? I think all pictured are pretty. The last is my least favorite and I can't honestly say why. Maybe just too much dress/fabric for the model? Most look like they are from the 60's. If you go with a short dress, make sure you can bend to sign your license. 😊 The only reason I suggested a bridal salon that is more of a boutique is because how many times in your life will you get to wear a long wedding gown? I wear formals rather often, but that just made me want a fancier bridal gown. lol! If you've always dreampt of a short gown, then by all means please get that one. But if you secretly have dreamed of a long gown, a train, and veil, don't give up yet. I just don't want you to settle. ❤ xoxo

Hi!!! 💞💞💞 Hmmm never dreamed of a gown in general because I never saw myself getting married throughout my childhood or university days. As special as a wedding gown is, it bothers me to think of spending thousands of dollars on a beautiful gown and I only wear it once. With a short dress, especially many of these exanples, you can wear it more than once.

Then follow your heart! There are many beautiful short dresses and we are all here to give opinions. I honestly don't think you'd be happy with a long gown. Big hug!!! ❤🥰
I'm wearing a short dress!! I'm short and petite and I just couldn't find a dress that I felt suited me and didn't overpower my smaller stature. I started trying places like Macy's and Dillard's and I found a very pretty (much more ME) Calvin Klein dress. Its blush but also came in white. I'm sticking with it and calling it tradition because my mom wore a homecoming dress to her wedding instead of a traditional dress. I almost decided to wear hers but our date is February and her dress is sleeveless...
I say it doesn't hurt to look at all sorts of options - and don't let the bridal salons bully you... I wanted to look at bridesmaid gowns since they were more simple and the lady was NOT kind about that request. Everyone forgets about the days when women used to just wear their nicest dress for their wedding day - its a nice homage to simpler days when weddings weren't what they re today AND I'll be able to wear my wedding dress again and again... not many women can do that!

Hi Melissa! I love it. I'm petite as well and the struggle is real! Yes! I'm most excited about being able to wear my dress multiple times if I get a short dress.
