Shoes Help!!

Nicole, on August 5, 2019 at 9:56 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
So I am having the hardest time picking shoes. I hate shoe shopping and wearing shoes in general. At home I'm barefoot all summer or in flip flops and the winter I just wear bogs. We are having a fall backyard wedding so heels are an absolute no as the ground is fairly soft. I originally wanted the glittery kate spade keds but after trying a few sizes I found they dont fit me right. I am looking at Tom's type shoes right now but they're very informal and casual. I just dont know how they will look with my dress. I would absolutely love them to be burgundy if possible. Here is a photo of my dress. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

You could pull off a bridal looking sandal, they’re like the formal version of flip flops! With your dress you could get ones with floral or lace elements.

Something like this! You don’t have to have a beach wedding to wear sandals.

Daughter lives in Converse whenever possible. Despite a fairly formal wedding and a gorgeous a-line ballgown, she figured she wanted comfort above all else. She bought a pair the color of the BM's dresses and we took them to a local shop that makes custom t-shirts, hats, etc. They were able to personalize them for her with gold glitter letters in a script font, with her new name (Mrs. Whatever) on the outside of one shoe and the written out wedding date on the outside of the other. Except for when she specifically lifted her dress to "show off" her shoes or to walk down steps, you didn't see her shoes at all. Bottom line? For a 12+ hour day, she was incredibly comfortable, not worried about tripping, and EXACTLY herself. She was very happy with her choice. (She had initially bought a pair of glittery flats, but they hurt her feet within minutes of putting them on so she went with the Converse on the day of.)
