Shoes for all

We got shoes from David’s Bridal and I’ve been dancing in mine twice a week to learn a choreographed first dance and know I’ll make it the whole wedding/ceremony in them.

What is their shoe budget? I’d highly recommend Naturalizer. Their Vera block heel is amazing because it’s cute but also very padded and not so high of a heel that it hurts your arches. It comes in a lot of colors. I got the red to wear when my FH proposed to me, the light brown for our engagement pictures, and now I’m buying the white pair for the wedding day.

Make sure you all try them on before you purchase. Unfortunately because everything is online now people ignore that and it doesn’t always work in their favor. You spend time and money that could go to something worthwhile by returning something that is the wrong size vs or fit. Unless the dresses are short or you are having photos taken of their shoes, comfort is the main factor.



Shop locally. No two people have the same comfort when it comes to shoes. Check out Famous Footwear, Ross/Burlington, Nordstrom Rack, Dillards, etc.

Check out Amazon! They have a good selection of shoes, though as always, read reviews first.

I definitely would let the bridesmaids choose their shoes. Everyone's feet are different, so I would recommend letting them pick their own shoes to be comfortable.

I got my shoes at DSW, and they were both cute AND comfortable! That was even after my coworker advised me NOT to get my wedding shoes at DSW! I told my bridesmaids they could wear different shoes, so I didn't ask them where they got theirs. I'm pretty sure, in fact, that they wore shoes they already owned.

I ordered these for myself, and let me tell you, they are comfy!! I’m not a heels girl, I typically wear vans or birkenstocks, so I was really surprised at the level of comfort. I even practiced dancing in them a few times. I highly recommend them.


My bridesmaids are trying these shoes out. One bridesmaid received them in the mail already.
They both look cute on, but she said that the Bristol is softer and would most likely be more comfortable for longer wear. The Audrey sandal was a bit more plastic feeling she said.
I hope this is helpful! I had ordered shoes from dillards as well, but returned them. DSW worked well for me, online that is; when I went to a local store in person I wasn’t successful.

My bridesmaids can choose other shoes as well if they match and are more comfortable. We have discussed the color shoe that would match the dresses, and we have a group chat to share pictures of ideas. It’s important that everyone is comfortable. 😁
