Shoe color for bride

How do you girls match your dress color with your shoe color? I'm thinking of a fall wedding so sandals won't help me. I'm starting to consider bright fun color shows instead!

    My dress is ivory and black and I'm going to be making custom converse! I haven't decided if they will be black, white, or teal which is one of our wedding colors.

    I don't think you have to match them to the dress. Have fun with your shoes!

    My dress was white and I wanted a pop of color and found these shoes. They also matched the color of my bridesmaids dresses and also the amethyst of my engagement ring.

    The ivory shoes I bought initially were too white for the shade of my dress. I ended up going with silver shoes so I didn't have to stress

    I think you can wear anything if your dress is long, you won't even see your shoes ...

    @Kaley G.

    I HAVE to know where you got your shoes from. I have been looking everywhere for a pair of flats like that. They are AMAZING. Thank you (:

    My wedding dress and shoes don't really match, but whatever. Like others have mentioned, you cant even see them under the dress. I think it was an excuse for me to get Valentinos, lol.

    I am including pictures of both.

    ETA- I need to mention, that my shoes are slightly lilac nude rather than nude-nude.

    Thanks everyone! I'm having an outdoor ceremony and I don't want a long train so I'll probably hem my dress quite a bit.

    Here is the shoe our daughter has ordered. Her dress is cream colored. The blue is really pretty. (I think)

    I don't even know what my shoes look like with my dress since they haven't come in the mail yet. But I have a ball gown so no one will see them anyway.

    You can either try to match and get an ivory or white shoe or go the opposite way and do a color. Up to you and your vision. Some I think match a color in the bridal party. I went with Ivory, I am more classic in my choices.

    I wanted blue shoes, but I'm having trouble finding ones I like. I think because I have dusty blue and a cloudy blue in my wedding colors so most of the bright/navy blue shoes don't seem to match right :/ may end up just going with silver/white sandals!

    My shoes won't be seen under my dress so the color doesn't concern me. Since I have circulation problems and I am getting married in the winter, I am getting booties so my toes don't freeze.

    Well I was just gunna throw on some sandals until I saw this thread ... everyone's shoes are gorg!! If you can't match, I like the pop of color idea a lot! Less pressure & super cute

    Yes I keep thinking about those purple shoes! So gorgeous. I'm thinking about a fall wedding so I think burgundy fits. Maybe I do bright red. Glad to hear that it won't be tacky! It would be difficult to find shoes that match my ivory dress completely. I'm not sure that all ivory is the same. I was like maybe I'll cut some of my dress (going to get it hemmed anyways) and take that to shoe store to use to match. Haha but I need the shoes to get it hemmed otherwise I'd ask the tailor for the scraps!
