Shepherds Hooks!!!

futureafu, on March 15, 2010 at 1:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

I just had to share since I just saved myself about 100 bucks and I'm sure you ladies would like to do the same! I am using pomanders instead of pew bows so was in need of 14 shepherd hooks. After searching high and low at the garden centers and googling my eyeballs out and finding the cheapest at more than 8 bucks a piece...I came across a post from another bride who found them at her local dollar tree. I couldnt find any at my local dollar tree so I called dollar tree direct but to no avail. Well I just returned with 14 shepherd hooks for only 15 bucks and some change, found them at my local Mighty Dollar. After leaving there i decided to stop by dollar tree to see what new things they had and what do i find? Shepherd hooks! I guess I just had to wait for it to get a little bit warmer since it was still too cold here for spring and summer floral supplies. Anyways, just wanted to give everyone the heads up! I saved a total of 98 bucks!!! Smiley laugh

Definitely gonna check that out! That is awesome! What are you hanging from yours? I was thinking about doing some simple flowers in mason jars.

Thanks so much! I am also using pomanders! Everyone will be at table during the ceremony, so I won't have chairs to hang anything on, so I have to use something like shepherds hooks.

About how tall are they? I have been trying to figure out how to rope off my candy buffet until I'm ready to open it. Some ladies on another MB have said that their guests helped themselves to the candy buffet before it was time and some of the guests didn't get an opportunity to have any. So I think some shephards hooks might do the trick depending on how tall they are.

No problem ladies! I did DIY flower pomanders made with foam balls and flower stems stuck it the foam ball. Got the balls from Walmart and the flowers from the dollar tree. Attached two different color ribbons to make a hoop to hang from.

Hello ladies, at the moment I'm looking for shepherd hooks that can sit on a church pew. Maybe a strong handle. If not- How about TALL shepherd hooks for the inside that has a heavy base to sit on the floor (for inside, not outside ground)?

    thanks ladies
