Hello everyone! My FH and I are getting married this year in December and our ceremony will be held outside. It will be in the afternoon and we plan on having heat lamps as well as cute blankets for our guests. My wedding dress has sleeves so i will be okay. I had my bridesmaids pick their own dresses (all the same color, gray, but different styles) and they’ve all chosen sleeveless ones. I’m happy to purchase some type of shawl for them but I am unsure if I should get simple pashmina shawls or ones with faux fur? I want them to be warm during the ceremony too. Any ideas?

Just a heads up - be prepared for lots of nasty & rude comments (just try to ignore them!). I had a post similar to this and instead of offering answers to my questions most people told me it was ridiculous to get married outside in December and often act like you don't have a backup plan if the weather is ridiculously cold. But anyway, I found a super cute faux fur shawl on amazon for cheap. I planned to get my girls pashmina shawls from amazon because I was unable to find something nicer for a reasonable price. Etsy also had some cute knitted shawls if you are looking for something different. The pashmina ones I saw on amazon were about $7 a piece and nice quality. The furs ran closer to $20 or more and the knitted ones were about $50. Hopefully that helps!

I’m getting married in March and it tends to be pretty cold around that time here so I’m buying these from Etsy for my bridesmaids. (There’s lot of different colors) We’ll be taking a few pictures outside since our hotel has a beautiful view of the NYC skyline so I know they are going to be cold!

If you think that you guests will need blankets to keep warm, it's too cold for an outside wedding. Given that guests will likely have warm jackets and/or sweaters AND blankets, a thin shawl will hardly be enough to keep your nearest and dearest warm. Teeth chattering and shivering bodies aren't a good lo

Here is the link to the shrug/shawls I found on Etsy. There are different styles and colors, and most are reasonable prices. The white one I shared was $14.90
