Share your VistaPrint experiences!

I'm very excited about submitting my order to Vistaprint within the next day or two. I'm considering getting "envelope seals" but I'm not sure what to expect. The seal that matches my invites looks a bit funny (see below) The image seems too small and awkward. I can't seem to manipulate the image to my liking; there is no option to resize. I'm also not sure what the horizontal gray lines represent (maybe a cut or perforation on the seal?)

Anyone buy envelope seals from VP? What did you think of them?

What other experiences did you have with your VistaPrint orders?

The grey line is part of the design. If you don't like the design, maybe choose another that is not matching but complimentary.

If you want envelope seals I would just buy a bunch of stickers. There are lots of heart stickers, gold leaves or flowers or whatever matches your design. The envelope seal doesn't need to be custom.

I just ordered return address labels from VP that were free- they should be here in a week!

I loved my VP experience! I got my invites, stds, custom envelopes, some calenders, address labels, enclosure cards, etc...from there. I even messed up on my enclosure card and called them 2 days after placing the order and they fixed it and re-ordered it for me for free!

I'd try and find a different sticker if you don't like that one. Can't beat 24 for $1.99 right now!

Oh my goodness, you're right! I looked at other VP seals to confirm; those lines are part of the design. Wow, that's unfortunate and ugly. I'm so glad I didn't order those! Thanks for the tip, I'll see if I can find any others that compliment the style.

Everything I ordered from VistaPrint I designed myself (except for my STD, which I ordered before I really knew all the things I could do with VistaPrint and just used one of their designs). Everything came out exactly how it looked in their online proofs. I ordered the linen paper for my invitations and response cards, which turned out really nicely.

I like those seals, but if you don't, there are plenty of other options, and I would think like most of their other products, there'd be an option to design your own?

I think I have the same invites you do. I like how they turn out, but definitely proofread. I found an error in my RSVP cards once I delivered them.

I like the seals, but didn't get any. We got name labels instead.

Haven't bought seals, but everything I've ever orders (I've been using them long before wedding planning) has been great. They always arrive before the expected delivery date and I've never had a problem with anything not being as I ordered it.

After you add them to your cart, you can find the "edit" option when you view all the items in your cart. From there, you can move the text boxes and add images/cover the original image.

I just ordered my invites last night, so hopefully soon they will be here...

My save the dates turned out great, everyone loved them!

But agreed!! Proofread!! and then have 10 more people proofread, lol!

The only think I don't like is the envelopes are plain, no options for better paper or linings to dress up the invites...

@Mrs. Marvel, if you order one of their designs you can upgrade your envelopes to get matching envelopes!

I did my own design for everything they didn't have anything with colors that worked for us. And looking through the options to just order them separately I still didn't see anything I like. They aren't actually colored envelopes they are printed just not what I was looking for...

Good think envelopes are pretty cheap I'll just order them separately, no worries. Smiley laugh

I ordered seals that matched our invites instead of springing for the matching ones (people are only going to tear the envelope open anyways. I remember being a little frustrated that I HAD to get the yellow tinted stickers instead of being able to make the background white, but I'm ultimately happy with what we got. They look just as nice as everything else we've ordered from them (we got STD magnets w/ matching envelopes, then linen invites with plain envelopes along with the seals)

@Emily, I started it in Photoshop after I bought some images from Etsy and a font that I had seen in lots of invitations on Etsy (Bombshell Pro by Emily Lime, so pretty!). However, I'm not super skilled with Photoshop so I ended up just designing in good ol' Publisher and converted the invitations and response cards to PDFs.

Super happy with my Vistaprint invites. Got my shipment in last week! They're tucked away in the box awaiting addresses and postage in February!

Thanks for everyone's sharing and help! With your advice and about 5 minutes of fiddling, I'm so much happier with my seals! Much better, no?

Thanks for the link @Reenski. There was a great post on there with instructions on how to create your own invites on vistaprint if you don't like their designs.

Emily, the new seals look VERY cute.
