Share your Diy! (successes, failures, and goals, oh my!)

Erin, on January 27, 2020 at 5:49 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 31
Whether it’s a success, a failure, or a plan, what are you DIYing for your special day? Share pictures of your projects, and maybe you’ll inspire another bride. Or we can suggest ways to fix what might be a “failure”. Let’s have some fun guys!
I’m planning on using a box like this and painting it in our wedding colors to use for our ring box for the ceremony.

I've made potion bottles and candlesticks so far! Just got back my do it yourself invitations (minus the printer cause I had someone else print them haha)

That’s so cool! I love the potions jars. Is it Harry Potter themed or magic in general? Or something else?

It's a dark enchanted garden. Think Disney villain without the heavy Disney influence. I also have signs that I'm putting up for the enchanted part.

Both of are into science fiction and fantasy tales so we are having board games at the reception and we picked places for our signs that have influenced us in some way growing up. The gravity falls one was the first TV show we watched together Smiley smile

So far, I've made our centerpieces and bouquets.

For the centerpieces, I made every single map flower which was a total of 165 flowers (our wedding is travel-themed). I bought the vases from the dollar store and used glitter gold spray paint. I also made all of our table names by cutting out plane shapes on cardstock! Each table is named after somewhere FH and I have traveled together and has pictures of us at that destination 😍
For ceremony aisle decor, I spray painted candle holders we bought from Ikea.

Those bouquets and centerpieces are genuinely impressive. They look like they’re professional quality! I love the blue you chose for the candle holders Smiley smile

I've been working on signage, table numbers, and addressing my envelopes. Here are a couple that I've completed so far.

I like those! The table numbers are cool to look at, but very simple and sleep. And if that is handwriting on those envelopes, I’m jealous xD

That’s super cool! Are they going to be like those napkins you get on cruise ships? Do you have any inspiration pics?

Oooh! Those are super pretty! And I’ve never been on one either but cruises and fancy expensive hotels have a habit of folding napkins into animals for presentation haha.
