Share Your Best Memories About Being Engaged & Planning:-)

Mrs. A Fernandez, on August 9, 2014 at 9:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Pics accepted!!! One of my best memories about being engaged, is the actual proposal. I have enjoyed planning on and off, but I most enjoyed purchasing things, and watching all of the wedding shows that I didn't know existed until I became an engaged woman. What about you ladies??

    Best memory about the engagement:

FH's emotion when he proposed. He is always in control of his emotion. But at that moment, for the first time, I saw him carry.

Best memory about planning our wedding:

FH and I working together for as a team. We always do, but with his schedule (closing his cases and starting his own firm next year) he still finds time for us.

We only had a five month engagement but the excitement of it all, and that excitement you get from truly marrying someone you love and for the right reasons, is so joyful!Smiley smile I have some fond memories of picking music together and practicing slow songs together in the living room haha. There's much more but the feelings are hard to put into words. We have a fun time planning and an awesome wedding day that I wish we could relive!

So far we have been engaged for a year. The best memory is him putting the ring on my finger. It was like officially we are engaged. That feeling is amazing. Best part of planning haven't started but looking at ideas and him putting ideas into the planning.

Lol when I was asked and my nieve pinning extraveganza after getting engaged. Everything after the engagement kinda stinks. My wallet hurts and my patience is gonzo. Smiley smile

Other than the actual proposal, it has to be deciding on things together and making choices with FH. Learning his likes and dislikes about things we haven't really discussed in our relationship before. Listening to music has also been a favorite of mine- trying to find the perfect songs for us has been a challenge because we aren't into music a whole lot as a couple, but has brought back memories with my friends and songs I haven't listened to in years.

He was unprepared when he asked me, as in no ring. We had been bickering, in front of my mother no less, about I don't know what. A few minutes later he gave me my ring. I ALMOST cried, but instead slapped his arm. Smiley smile

So far the best memory is the weekend that he proposed. We had the best walk around the Riverwalk right before, then that whole weekend we never had to wait for elevators, they just came as soon as we hit the button, we got a ton of congrats from waitstaff everywhere we went, free desserts, and good meals. It was such a long, easy, and lazy mini vacation weekend. Oh yeah and usually I pay for the hotel and he pays for our dogs boarding, but he paid for everything as a gift. It was glorious.

Our ceremony & reception are at a hotel and when we officially booked and paid deposit we went down to the bar and had a celebratory beer. We were like "this is where it's happening" It was a great feeling!!

    Best memory about the engagement:

How it had so little do with him asking me...and so much more to do with knowing he is the right person for my future and how much I love him! Celebrating him afterwards!

Best memory about planning our wedding:

When I realized we picked the perfect site for our wedding (despite issues!).

Taking engagement photos together!!! (the night before and even the day off was crazy trying to get ready for it...but once we were in the moment it was so fun!)

Going shopping with my mom for a full day of wedding shopping and not getting in a fight once. Smiley smile

    Proposal-

Seeing him drop to one knee and both of us crying as we hugged. And not being able to order food at applebees because i couldn't concentrate!!

    Planning-

Even though I complain, I'm enjoying every minute as it's preparing for the day I marry my soulmate!
