"sexy" wedding dresses

I think it depends upon the brides taste. I don't regularly dress sexy so I think if I were to try to pull off a sexy wedding dress it would be odd. I love seeing such dresses though that work on other people - it's just not me.

@Karen, yeah I agree. There's a fine line between sexy and skimpy, and some people don't know how to find it.

I personally want to show off my bod!!! While my dress isn't sheer, doesn't have a low back, or cut outs, it makes me feel HOT! I've worked with the woman doing my alterations to have it hug my butt a bit and added some padded boobies and I'm so glad I did! It's not trashy and makes me feel confident and good.

My bodice is semi sheer so we will see how that goes over

Blair, personally I'd still consider your dress very modest. From what I can see it's very beautiful.

I think you can be sexy in a dress and not have half your gut, breasts, or butt showing.

Personally I don't think it's a good option just because it's your FH day too and it sounds like he's pretty against the idea...

I would say mine might fall into that category but thankfully I'm pretty covered.

My dress had a low V neckline. It would have been lower if I didn't have to get the shoulder straps altered. I thought It was "sexy" and so did my husband

If you have the body I say go for it!!!! I mean some go for it regardless. I'm a little more traditional. And my church has strict rules on the dress. But they make so many options to cover up for the ceremony now.

I'd say my second dress is a little sexy, but I think it balances out nicely with my first, more "traditional" dress, and I know my FH will love it

@TugBride Did the OP say her FH was against it?

@tug I want to consider his feelings, but my formal style of dress is pretty sexy. I've seen more conservative dresses that are beautiful, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable in them. I'll try to come up with a compromise.

@future there were some dresses I've shown him that I like that he thought were inappropriate. Not all tho.

Sexy is subjective. I doubt my dress would be considered sexy but I felt like a total bombshell in it. For me, the off the shoulder straps made this dress romantic and sexy without being over the top and my H loved it.
