Sewn in cups - will it be enough?

So I'm a 34B at best (TMI), and while I love my sweetheart neckline it does just about nothing for the girls. I had a strapless bra on to try on my dress when it came in, but I had to remove it because the dress wouldn't close with it on (ugh)

My attendant suggested having sewn in cups added at my fitting, would something like sewn push up double cups do the trick? (I've attached a close up picture of my dress without a bra or any cups added yet)

Who here has had sewn in cups and what's your verdict?

(I'd also like to avoid a bra if possible because it was so much more comfortable without it)

So glad I read this post. I'm a C, but very small C. Should I wear my strapless bra when I try stuff on or go without it knowing I can have cups sewn in?

I feel like I read someone posted about putting in those little cutlet things. If the cups aren't enough, maybe your seamstress could add a slit into the cups to place cutlets.

@shannon I got mine on Amazon, there's a million different brands so I just found ones that had decent reviews and ordered them. You can also get them in any department store in the lingerie section, like Macy's, target, Kohl's etc.

I'm also a 34B! I wanted to look sexy on my wedding day. I actually had 2 sets of cups sewn in- 1 padded and 1 push-up to get the...desired effect, haha.

Something to add... make sure you SIT DOWN in your dress as you go through alterations. You don't spend much of your day sitting, but you do spend at least SOME of it seated haha. I was drowning in my boobs a bit in some of my seated shots!

I'm having the same issue. I'm having push up cups sewn in mine and I'll probably need some other kind of padding as well. My cousin had push up cups in hers, and brought like bra inserts with her too and she ended up wearing those for more oomph!

I wish I could get sewn in cups. I'm a 40 DD and the seamstress said that sewn in cups wouldn't give me enough support Smiley sad

@Amanda, A cup here too. My dress has sewn in cups, but I'm still thinking I will need something extra just to help keep the dress up!
