Sewn in bra or cups for large bust? (beyond Ddd)

Dorothy, on May 28, 2019 at 5:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
I am an H cup and need lots of support! The back isnt super low either, my first fitting is tomorrow!! I do like how the dress fits around the bust in the photo of me wearing it, but I have lost weight since then, like a whole dress size since the photo, and two whole sizes since I purchased the dress, so that bra doesnt fit me anymore. I originally purchased the dress in a 14 but now need it to fit more like a 10.!

Your seamstress should be able to take it in which should give you the support you need. Adding a cup will help with shape, and lift if you want it. Talk to your seamstress about what you want to achieve, most things are doable.

Congrats on the weight loss! That dress looks amazing on you. I had cups already in my gown and I didn’t exactly fill them out as much as I would like even have alterations so I added chicken cutlets, the combo made me feel really secure and lifted. I am a size D for reference in a size 10 dress.

I have similar issues. I bought a strapless bra to my first fitting appointment and the seamstress was straight up and told me I looked too flat (LOL), so she is sewing in cups. The sewn-in cups give more shape than a strapless bra.

Hey Dorothy! Your dress looks so amazing on you! It looks so pretty with your tattoo too! They go together perfectly!

Your seamstress will definitely be able to alter it to fit you the way you want it to. Come back and let us know how your fitting goes!

That dress looks amazing on you. I would second that adding cups helps lift.
