Set up and clean up

Daniel, on October 20, 2019 at 11:09 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
So over a year before my day I booked them for clean up and set up of the event. Yes I still have time but not really cause I leave in a few weeks but I’m call and not back until a week before the wedding. But today they told me they can’t make it to do because they will be at another event and can not make it. I asked a friend that works for them and they told me that the event just book them this week and it really came down to the other is going to pay more. So now I am trying to find someone but not even sure where to look anymore. I been just considering doing myself and cancel the events planned for the day before and morning of the day to set up all and make sure some the way planned

I'm so sorry to hear they did that to you!! that's SO unprofessional. If you left a deposit I would demand it back. We had to set up and clean up on our own. When I was deciding on that though I did look on Thumbtack.com they have companies on there that do that

    Hey Daniel!

I’m really sorry to hear that you are going through this. It cannot be easy, especially since you will be away until your wedding. Will it be possible to work on your wedding planning while you are away?

Did you sign a contract with this company? Is there anything in it about canceling the contract?

I have read the contract and unfortunately there is nothing can be done. it says that they are able to cancel as long as they give early enough notice but all deposits and fees are forfeited. I am glad i did not pay they whole thing like i have with others only deposit to hold the day. but in that contract it claims that it is only holding the day until all money is paid in full and the deposit is to reserve the day. It says work on first come basis on whom ever is paid in full. so deposit is just to hold the day.
