Serving beverages at a venue with no bar?!

on November 23, 2019 at 8:26 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
So My venue that I have in mind does not come with a bar or kitchen. I do however want to serve alcohol just beer and wine and maybe one signature drink. How do I create a setup for beverages to be served without an actually bar counter. This reception is indoors. Please share tips and tricks I’m on a tight budget.

You need some kind of bar to serve drinks. I recommend renting a portable bar. You can find some from 50 to 200 bucks and dress it up with a curtain in in the front.

A friend of mine repurposed an old dresser she bought for $5. Spent about $30 in supplies and about 4 hours of her time.

You can always rent one or depending on your theme you can create a bar space yourself no counter. There’s some furniture that can be transform into a bar and still make the space look cool.

All of the above are options, but I would definitely check with your venue on this beforehand. They may not have a liquor license or there may be a restrictive policy dictating that they can't have a bar.
