September 28th. Summer or Fall?

I've pictured a brightly-colored summer wedding in my head since we got engaged. We were originally going to get married in August but pushed it back a month because we had trouble finding a venue. I just realized that 9/28 is technically fall. Now I'm unsure if I should go with a summer theme for decorations/colors or if it should be more fall-like. Like I said, I've pictured summer but I really like mums and some of the fall decorations, too. What would you expect from an end of September wedding? We're having a BBQ reception, if that helps.

Seasons really don't matter. Choose the colors you like and that fit your venue.

You know what? I seriously have NEVER even thought about what "season" it is when I am at a wedding. Use colors that you like, it will not (should not) "matter" to your guests =)

I wouldn't worry about it. I am a week before you, literally the last day of summer, and I keep thinking that the nice thing about that time of year is you could really go either way. I actually wouldn't do straight fall colors in September anyway.

Bright colors are great any time of the year. Let's hope the end of September is as warm this year as it has been in recent years (I'm in Pittsburgh too).

I'm 9/21 also and I'm kind of going with plum and champagne. I don't know if that's a particular season, but I like the combination and I don't really care if its right for the timing, its just right for me!

I'm 9/21 too and I'm going fall. But that's just me. It actually matches my colors. I didn't plan my wedding around the season. A friend of mine got married a few years ago in October and her colors were more spring time.
I say it is what ever colors you like.

Date twin! I'm going fall... Only because its my favorite time of the year. But you can choose whatever colors you want : )
