I'm organized almost to a fault, FH and I semi-joke that we are definitely in the right fields for our personalities. I have spreadsheets on checklists on backup files of everything, whereas he flies by the seat of his pants and makes decisions quickly. The WW checklist has been helpful so far, but I bumped all the dates up to make sure I have everything done in plenty of time.

With friends and family, "No" is a complete sentence. Everyone has ideas about what we should do, from the ceremony to food to decorations to our wedding date (!!!!). Sometimes "I'll think about it" works, but if we know we won't do it I tell people that we already have a plan, but thanks for the suggestion.

Date twin!! I am having planning withdraws at the moment.. there's not a whole lot to do. we have our venue, catering, DJ & Photographer. I also have my ring.. he doesn't have his yet, we are waiting on some money to come through for that. I want to continue but for right now it's all wishes. not actual things to do.

@Jaclyn I feel the same! We are buying a house in Arizona, and are having our wedding there (we will get 1-2 acres), so pretty much all the planning has to wait until we get there in January! We have our date, know who the DJ will be, our wedding party, and colors. I think we will do our registry before then, so that's another aspect to look forward to. Everything else we can't really plan though.

Hi date twins! I am kind of at a planning standstill as well. So far I have -

    Venue

    Cater

    Officiant

    Photographer

    Videographer

    HMUA

    DOC

    My dress

    Color Scheme

    Guest List

My Wedding band (FH hasn't picked his)

    Website

    Table Numbers

We have already done epics. I'm going to a bridal show in July, so I probably won't book anything else until then. I need a DJ, Baker, Florist, and I need to order STDs, but for that I'll probably wait until Black Friday Smiley winking

ETA- I think we will probably wait to do our registries until around October

Wedding planning is going well! We have our venue, DJ, and photographer booked. I've did one session of dress shopping Smiley smile and wedding party is set!

Our church is kind of booked, we just need to finish the premarriage preparation for a catholic ceremony. However we live in a different state than my FH's family parish and we are looking to move again in the next few months. So once we get our new location we will get that done in the next.

Currently working on save the dates. I either want to a comic booked themed one ( FH is a comic book nerd) I found on etsy or one with our photo. We didn't and probably won't do engagement photos though.

Color scheme is navy and gold ( a compromise to my FHs fav sports team colors). My accent color will be either be white or a pop of color.

I do a lot of Pinterest, Etsy, and now WW to just keep getting ideas. We have the time to really research!

Hi there to all of my September 2018 brides! I've gotten a lot done so far and it's been so exciting. I'm very happy with my venue, caterer, and dj. We've secured our photographer, videographer, and DOC. We just added a saxophonist for our first dance. I bought my dress a few weeks back. I still have quite a few things to do but I have plenty of time so there's no stress

Hi! Planning is kind of at a standstill for us right now too. We have booked our venue, dj, photographer, videographer, photobooth and day of coordinator! Our colors are black white and gold with a vintage glam vibe! Going to have engagement pictures done this fall for save the dates and going to go dress shopping.

@Charlene my colors are lavender, blush and navy, with hints of rose gold. My dress is blush, FH has a navy suit he plans to wear with a blush tie, and my sister (MOH) will probably wear lavender. I likely won't have any other bridesmaids, and I'm thinking FH's BM and groomsman will wear navy suits with lavender ties. My jewelry is rose gold.

Hi everyone, I like seeing date twins on here Smiley smile ... we have our venues booked (getting married at the lighthouse he proposed at) and reception at the golf course close to the lighthouse that overlooks the bay we live on. We have photographer, she will do e-pics this upcoming September because we love fall so much. Have a DJ, hairdresser and potentially makeup artist. I'll be having my bridesmaids wear different styles of red dresses. I have seen pictures of a bride who had her maids all wear different shades of red and I thought it looked really pretty, but think it needs to be certain shades to flow nicely. I am using my moms dress(man she had good taste back then) and making it into my own with a local seamstress. Other than that we are just waiting around enjoying our long engagement, and our two children. We've been together seven years, so what's another year and three months? Good luck to you all and looking forward to hearing your plans!! Xoxo

Hello! We are on a planning hiatus for the summer. We have venue, church, photographer, florist, honeymoon, DJ and tuxes booked. Engagement photos are booked for September then it's invitations and save the dates. I'm going to worry about my dress in January. We did things in waves. We would book a few vendors and then take a break. It kept us sane. In between I used forums for my wedding talk lol

@Keisha We booked though Carnival! We live in Dallas, and they depart from Galveston so it's super convenient (not to mention cheap!)

I did a more expensive Alaskan/Canadian cruise last summer through Royal Caribbean and I found the overall quality of Carnival cruises to be better, which I thought was interesting considering the steep price difference. I've been on about 5-6 Carnival cruises. My only concern is that Carnival is really kid-friendly, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the majority of children will already be in school and not on vacation in September lol.

Barcelona sounds amazing! I would love to go on a Mediterranean cruise. Where will the cruise be visiting?

I usually sail Royal but we picked Norwegian this time because the offered drink packages. The cruise goes to

NAPLES/POMPEII, ROME, LIVORNO, CANNES, PALMA MAJORCA

    Where does your cruise go?

Yes, the drink packages are something I specifically disliked about Royal! I've heard pretty good things about Norwegian, but have never sailed through them myself! I have a few family members who love Norwegian though.

We will be going to Cozumel, Montego Bay and Grand Caymen. I am so jealous of the places you and your FH are going to visit!! I would have loved to do a West/Med cruise but alas, FH and I are saving for a down payment for a house. Smiley winking My FH helps me maintain my priorities, I'm a travel addict and a spender at heart, lol. I'm sure y'all will have a blast!

To be very honest our cruise was not that expensive. I have paid more for Caribbean cruises than I am for this one. We did an inside cabin to save money so we can stay a few days in Barcelona. The only thing that is expensive is the tours but you can always do things on your own. I would definitely check it out and see

I am extremely Type A and have been gathering ideas for my wedding for YEARS so we are almost all set! We booked our ceremony and reception venue, which includes food, alcohol, dj, and almost all of our decor. We also have the photographer booked because she's very popular in our area and we've worked with her before for other photos. I've also made a few bridal appointments for August and September. Nothing else that I need to do quite yet - now I get to relax a while!

@Keisha I'll check it out! Maybe the summer after we get married we can go. Thanks for letting me know! My grandmother went to Spain multiple times when she was younger and she still talks about how beautiful and fun it is there.
